BE GREAT: Graduate
BE GREAT: Graduate is our way of establishing an academic success plan to help and encourage kids at-risk of dropping out of school. By creating a solid infrastructure and focusing on three measurable goals: (1) every member is promoted every year to the next grade level, (2) every member graduates from high school and (3) every member is fully prepared to achieve real-world success in college, career, and life, this program has historically proven to increase engagement in school and learning and improve academic success.
BE GREAT: Graduate participants receive a free tutor, usually from a local college, that will meet him/her at the Club twice a week and serve as their champion – helping work on schoolwork and providing your child with a friend and mentor. BE GREAT: Graduate will also offer special incentives, activities, and special field trips for participants when specific goals have been met. This program works directly with the participant’s school in order to share information and resources, track his/her success, and maximizes learning for all participants. A critical role, parents are also asked to be actively involved and participate in parent workshops and conferences held throughout the year.
