Each year, the Executive Women International (EWI) of Spokane organizes two Reading Rallies, one which is held at the Boys and Girls Clubs of Spokane County. The purpose for the Reading Rally is to promote literacy to local youth by providing them with an opportunity to create a story and write it in a book of their own making. In addition, authors and illustrators are on hand to help bring their stories to life with simple pictures and provide inspiration and real-life advice.
